This exhibition, speaking of the imagery associated with modernist design and architecture, catapults us to Hollywood, to Los Angeles in the 1960s, and to all those cities where ideal, futuristic spaces were created—glass boxes that, alas, have now been transformed into house-museums, often inaccessible to visitors. We are faced with a design meant to be lived in but crystallized into a memory, a faded idea realized only partially. We are surrounded by furniture printed on curtains, as if they were the objects that once inhabited a now empty house, illuminated by a black sun.
