from June 20 to 30, 2022
For the occasion, the artist presents a selection of works created and produced in Morocco in the winter of 2023. The protagonists are textiles used both as supports and as metaphors for new plastic and spatial possibilities. Small blue circular shapes, alluding to spaces "traversable" by the eye, stand out on these cloths which, in turn, are configured as autonomous "cutouts" of space ready to create new environmental and sculptural dimensions.
The title 'Nomade' refers on the one hand to the dynamic and never the same nature of the textile support, and on the other to an idea of mobility, portability and transformability. Those in possession of these works can autonomously decide how to present or use them, playing with gravity, with transparencies and also with the perceptual and physical instability of textiles.
